As Associate General Counsel on Verizon’s AI legal team, Jon Metallo helps manage the legal risk of AI deployments across the enterprise. He reviews AI terms in vendor contracts and leads negotiations with business customers regarding AI usage. Drawing on an undergraduate background in Computer Science, Jon translates technical innovation into sound legal strategy. Previously, Jon served as an advisor on privacy and cybersecurity issues for Verizon from 2016 to 2024. He began his legal career in 2012 as an Associate at Debevoise & Plimpton, where he also specialized in privacy and cyber matters. With over a decade of experience, Jon expertly bridges the gap between technical code and global legal regulation.

Josh Dubin is a Managing Associate General Counsel in the Verizon Legal department, leading the AI, Data, and Open Source Legal team which is part of the Technology Legal group. Josh and his team guide Verizon on the legal and compliance requirements of developing and deploying AI, managing Verizon's data, and leveraging open source technologies. Josh has been at Verizon for 10 years, supporting different engineering, IT, and transformation teams within Verizon. Prior to joining Verizon, Josh was an associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, specializing in tech-related patent litigation. He holds a J.D. from NYU School of Law and a B.A., with honors in Computer Science, summa cum laude, from NYU.
