Certified Superstar May 2017
Want to pitch to our corporate partner EY? A selected list of Certified Suppliers will have an opportunity to participate in nglccNY's award winning Certified Superstar program in May. Make a 10 minute presentation and get invaluable feedback.
SUGGESTED APPLICANTS: EY has indicated that it is particularly interested in hearing pitches from suppliers in the following industries:
- Technology (as related to robotics/artificial intelligence and cyber security)
- Real estate (design/general contractor); and
- Consulting companies.
However, ALL LGBTBEs, regardless of industry, are strongly encouraged to apply.
The Certified Superstar program is designed as a 20 minute mentorship program where LGBTBE Certified businesses have the opportunity to appear before a panel of professionals from one of our Corporate Partners to provide a "mock pitch". Each company or business will give a ten minute presentation which should focus on a service and value proposition. Following the presentation, you will receive ten minutes of constructive feedback on style, content, presentation skills and communication. Although there is no bidding on any specific job, the opportunity should be treated as an actual sales pitch. The goal of the program is for you to walk away with helpful advise from Corporate Partner representatives and for you to gain additional experience in pitching your businesses. Although this is a "mock pitch", it is a tremendous opportunity to get valuable face time with key individuals from our Corporate Partners. If you want to participate go here to complete a request form (Note: Deadline to enter is 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2017). If you have any questions about this, or any other Supplier Diversity event, please contact Rob Finkelstein, Supplier Diversity Chair, at Rob@nglccNY.org.
