About Speaker Amy Mayes
Amy Mayes is a New York City and Hudson Valley based photographer specializing in portraits and headshots creating honest, storytelling images for corporate and editorial clients, businesses, personal branding, and film sets. Her earliest influence was her grandmother, an artist and activist who taught her about aesthetic and creative process at a young age. With an eye for relationships and community, Amy brings a unique sensibility to her work. After earning degrees in sociology and criminal justice, Amy spent ten years as a federal probation officer. Empowered by an overwhelming sense that she needed to turn a lifelong passion into a career, she became a professional photographer and never looked back. Amy has been a visible member of the LGBTQ and allied business community for the last 13 years.

About Lunch & Learn
Building on the virtual community that has formed as a result of the past couple of years, we are pleased to present our new Lunch & Learn program. Our Lunch & Learns provides a monthly opportunity to learn about various topics presented by Subject Matter Experts (SME) from the nglccNY and network with members that are both in the NYC area and beyond.
Each virtual Lunch & Learn includes a 30-45 minute presentation of a topic from a SME, and will also allow time for networking during a breakout session.
To learn more about the Lunch and Learns, have questions or want to submit an idea of a future Lunch & Learn, please email info@nglccny.org.
