Registration to spectate this round of the nglccNY LGBTBE Biz Pitch competition has closed. Please contact Rob Finkelstein if you would like to attend this event. Applications for the June nglccNY Biz Pitch competition will open in April 2019. 

After an incredibly successful inaugural year, the nglccNY Biz Pitch Sponsored by EY is back! Our first Biz Pitch competition of the new year will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. The winner of this Biz Pitch will compete at the end of 2019 against the winners of Biz Pitches to be held in June and September. Prizes to be awarded include:

• Best pitch: Full scholarship to the Supplier Diversity Professional Excellence, Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth for 2020 (approximate value: $5,000)
• Runner-up: NGLCC 2020 National Dinner Registration for one attendee (approximate value: $750)
• Second Runner-up: NGLCC 2020 Conference Registration for one attendee (approximate value: $600)

ABOUT nglccNY Biz Pitch: nglccNY Biz Pitch is similar in format to Certified Superstar. You will give a ten-minute presentation which should focus on a service and value proposition. Following your presentation, you will receive ten minutes of constructive feedback on style, content, presentation skills and communication. Although you will not be bidding on any specific job, you should treat this opportunity as if it were an actual sales pitch. You will walk away with helpful advice from Corporate Partner representatives and gain additional experience in pitching your businesses. If EY selects you as the winner on January 22, 2019, you will compete in December 2019 (tentative date: December 11, 2019) for one of the three prizes listed above.

Note: Pitch eligibility requires that you are a Certified LGBT Business Enterprise (LGBTBE) and a good standing member of nglccNY, NJ LGBT Chamber, or Connecticut Gay & Lesbian Chamber.  If your company is selected to pitch, appropriate representation on the date of the event is required.
