NGLCCNY New Member Breakfast

New members of NGLCCNY — The National LGBTQ+ & Allied Chamber of Commerce New York are invited to an exclusive, invitation-only breakfast designed to welcome you into the heart of our community and equip you with the insights, relationships, and tools that will help you maximize your membership from day one.

Hosted in the executive boardroom of TD Bank on the twentieth floor of One Vanderbilt, this event offers a unique opportunity to experience the energy and culture that defines NGLCCNY while engaging directly with the people and programs that make it thrive.

Attendees will enjoy breakfast amidst the Manhattan skyline while connecting with fellow new members, certified LGBTBE® business owners, corporate partner executives, and Chamber leadership. The morning will include remarks from Ambassador Committee Chair Phyllis Mehalakes, Senior Membership Manager & Certification Associate Gunner Gardner, and Executive Director Barton Jackson, with a special welcome message from TD Bank’s Vice President of Community Business Development Strategy Steven Garibell. Together, they will share the vision, opportunities, and values that guide NGLCCNY’s mission to advance LGBTQ+, diverse, and allied economic equity and inclusion across the New York City region.

The program will provide a clear orientation to your membership benefits, including how to navigate NGLCCNY’s signature programs, recurring events, and business development resources, as well as explore the pathways to LGBTBE® certification and supplier-diversity opportunities that open doors to corporate and government contracting.

In addition to understanding NGLCCNY’s offerings, participants will leave with actionable next steps to activate their membership. These include:

• Identifying committees and volunteer pathways that align with your interests and expertise
• Learning how to promote your business within the chamber’s local and national network
• Mapping your first 90 days of engagement, including key events, certification milestones, and opportunities for visibility

As part of this orientation, you will gain awareness of the broader ecosystem that NGLCCNY connects you to, equipping businesses to compete successfully and contribute meaningfully to New York’s economy. By the end of the morning, you will not only understand how NGLCCNY operates but also how to make it work for you.
