Marketing by Rocio Inc.
I am a multicultural brand strategist and multilingual digital marketing expert who helps queer entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs of color take up space.
I am a non-binary bisexual American and a child of immigrants from the Dominican Republic. I grew up in New York City and attended and graduated from a performing arts high school in 2013, and after completing a marketing, advertising, and communications degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology with a minor in French. I focused much of my internship experience in social media and digital marketing in the fashion industry.
Eventually, I became disillusioned with the fashion industry, finding myself devalued and looked down upon. After discovering myself and my identities, I moved to Paris to complete a master's degree in Fashion Studies, an academic and theory-based degree that helped me develop my critical thoughts toward the fashion industry.
I've taken these personal and professional experiences and combined them in a way that covers fashion, minority experiences, and digital marketing––by founding Marketing by Rocio, a digital marketing and branding agency.
